COVID-19 update from Traralgon Tennis Association
Yesterday afternoon we received an email from Tennis Victoria, our governing body, recommending that all tennis operations close until further notice. In line with this recommendation the Traralgon Tennis Association has made the decision to close our facilities completely from tomorrow.
Unfortunately this now includes not allowing access to the courts for any social hitting as well. We understand that this will be a frustrating development for many of you who use the facilities regularly however hopefully you can appreciate how tough this decision has been to make.
We will continually review the situation and keep you informed of when the facilities will be re-opened for both social and competition use.
Woofa will be finishing off this terms lessons this evening and tomorrow morning and then all gates will be locked from 10am on Saturday, 28 March until further notice.
As hard as this is it is the right thing to do at the moment. The Traralgon Tennis Association’s main priority to keep our members and the community safe and then to open up for normal business as soon as we can. In order to do this we must close the venue for now.
Please stay at home and let’s get this curve lowered as quickly as we possibly can.
I would ask you to support all our wonderful sponsors over this trying time if you are able to. So many of our wonderful local businesses are having a difficult time, please try and support them any way you can.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any queries at all.
On behalf of the board of the Traralgon Tennis Association Board
